The State Rhine-Neckar Port Authority Mannheim mbH operates and manages the Mannheim Port, one of Germany’s most important inland ports. The company was established in 1990 from the former State Port Authority Mannheim and is 100 percent owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The port consists of four port areas with a total of 14 dock basins and three river harbors. For heavy-duty cargo handling, the Goliathplatz with a mobile crane is available in the trading port. The company provides suitable infrastructure for cargo handling, storage, and logistical processes within the port, and supports the transportation of goods by inland vessel as well as connections to other modes of transport.
