FICEP Flex FRC 1201 Notching Machine
The Ficep FRC 1201 notching machine is part of the modern Ficep Flex series of notching machines.
This modern CNC-controlled notching machine is designed for the rapid thermal cutting and notching of H, U, L, flat, and square tubes. The steel profile is positioned in the machine at the cutting location via a roller conveyor using a pulling tong carriage. A robotic arm equipped with the cutting units (oxy-fuel or plasma) cuts the profiles at the selected position. The cut or notched finished components either fall into the collection tray or are pushed out of the system by the measuring arm.
Thermal Cutting Units:
This Ficep Flex FRC 1201 profile notching system is equipped for thermal cutting using oxy-fuel and/or plasma. A Hypertherm HYPERFORMANCE PLASMA HPR 260 XD plasma power source, suitable for material thicknesses up to 32 mm, is used. Thicker materials or phase cuts larger than 32 mm are cut using the oxy-fuel cutting unit.

Conveyor System:
On the infeed side, in front of the Ficep Flex FRC notching system, there is a chain-driven cross conveyor with a length of 11,150 mm. The profiles (components) can be conveyed in both directions.
The profiles are then transported into the machine on a sturdy roller conveyor using a clamp-type measuring cart.
The system is designed for 12-meter-long profiles and therefore features 12-meter-long roller conveyors on both the inlet and outlet sides, each with a roller track width of 1,300 mm.
To remove the finished components on the outlet side, four chain-driven cross conveyors, each 6,450 mm long, are located downstream of the notching station.
Mitrol CNC Control and Pegaso Software:
The system is controlled by a modern CNC control system from Mitrol. This reliable CNC control system, manufactured by Ficep’s in-house supplier Mitrol, features Pegaso software, including remote maintenance capabilities and a data transfer interface.
Torit DCE Filter Unit
The filter unit for dust extraction is a Donaldson Torit DCE.
