EBE Holzheizkraftwerk GmbH operates a biomass cogeneration plant in Emlichheim and uses waste wood to generate electricity and process heat. Since July 2013, the company has been responsible for the operation management of the facility. The electricity produced is fed into the public grid, and additional process steam is supplied for industrial applications. The plant processes waste wood of classes A1 to A4; for this purpose, circulating fluidized bed technology, storage and processing systems, as well as other components for fuel handling and energy generation are used. In the area of machinery and plant offerings, the company may also work in association with ZENO.
